I'm excited to meet you and share my passion for the benefits, community, and fun yoga has to offer. I've had the good fortune of living in Asia for a couple of years where my appreciation for the ancient wisdom and traditions of the East deepened and my understanding of this practice was greatly enriched as I was able to learn from gurus, sadhus, and sannyasin.
I am a Yoga Alliance 500 hour registered yoga teacher and I'm also certified in yoga Nidra, yin yoga, and trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness, all through Yoga Alliance registered programs. Yoga is comparable to studying the user's manual that should have come with your body! This ancient practice is still applicable to being a human and having a body today.
My fascination with Eastern philosophy and traditions began as a child as I would walk past a Thai Buddhist temple on the way to my elementary school in North Hollywood, California. This fascination eventually led me to yoga. I have traveled extensively throughout Asia for two years, spending the majority of my time on the Subcontinent where I was educated at various ashrams and monasteries and by yogis whose lifework was yoga.
In 2016, I completed my 200-hour teacher training at BeHot University in Saint George, Utah. In 2019, I completed a trauma-informed yoga course at The Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, California, and in July 2020, I completed my 500-hour advanced teacher training at Inbody Yoga Academy in Salt Lake with an emphasis on yoga therapy. All my certification has been through registered Yoga Alliance programs, however, I still value my experience and education with various yogis and gurus in Asia as key to my qualifications to teach the practice of yoga to others. Come join me on the journey to get to know your whole self better.
